What is brow shaping?
Brow shaping begins with a consultation to determine unique brow goals. Upon measuring the brows using Kiana’s own precise and detailed method, The shape is shown to each client prior to any hairs being removed. The extra hairs will be removed by method of hard wax, which is great for all skin types and sensitive skin. (Tweezing is available as an alternative to waxing, if anyone is using accutane or retinol in their skincare)
What is Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination is a service in which we lift and perm stubborn, curly, or unruly brow hairs in a uniformed direction. The most common request is to achieve “fluffly” fuller brows. Similar to a lash lift removing the need to curl lashes, Lamination removes the need to use brow gel to style the hair. Brow lamination will allow the brows to stay in place, however requires a quick 2-5 second brush in the morning to style as this is not a procedure in which the brows glue to your face.
This service lasts anywhere between 3-6 weeks and pairs well with brow tint or over healed microblading and micropigmentation.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of semi permanent cosmetic tattooing in which technicians will use a series of needles in a blade like formation to create incisions in the brows. These tiny incisions are then filled with a custom pigment shade to replicate natural hair like strokes. This procedure creates the look of natural, fuller brows that won’t wash away! Microblading lasts 8months - 2 years, however most clients come for a yearly touch up.
This service is ideal for clients with dry to combination skin, however can work with oily skin with proper post care.
Each PMU service is 2 step procedure and requires an initial touch up to complete the service, typically 6-8weeks following the first session.
What is brow tint?
Brow tint is a service in which the natural brow hairs are dyed to achieve a fuller looking brow. Tint may temporarily stain the skin underneath the area of hair being dyed,giving a soft makeup look for 1-3 days however, tint is meant to last on the natural brow hairs for 2-4 weeks.
A great option for those of you with blonde, lighter hair, or clients who often use brow gel to darken natural brow hair.
What is Micropigmentation?
Micropigmentation is a form of semi permanent cosmetic tattooing in which technicians use a tattoo machine to create nano hair strokes (strokes drawn with a extremely tiny single needle as opposed to a microblade) Ombre/Powder brows, Combo Brows , Lip Blush, Eyeliner, Freckles, Areola Reconstruction and Scar Revision.
This service lasts 3-5 years and is perfect for all skin types, especially those with oilier skin. Clients can expect to need a touch up within 1-3 years after their completed service to refresh or update their tattoo.

How long does PMU take to heal?
Each clients skin will be a little different however your artist will recommend the best healing practices for your skin type. General healing time is 7-14 days. However, Kiana has developed a method that allows most clients to heal within 5-7 days.

It is also important to communicate with your artist, any questions that may come up! No question is silly to ask!
It is important to avoid water, saunas, excessive sweating, and or hot showers during the healing period as post care is crucial to perfect healed results. I recommend booking 2 weeks before any important event or vacation to ensure your brows aren’t healing during these times.
